About The Event

This performance is a bridge between eras. Tar Sahno takes the raw, emotive power of Ukrainian folk compositions—songs that have carried the history, joy, and resilience of a people for centuries - and breathes new life into them. By blending cinematic textures with intricate instrumental arrangements, the contemporary classical sound creates a space where history isn't just remembered, but felt anew.

Each composition in the program presents more than just a unique soundscape; Team will share the stories of the original composers and the specific Ukrainian regions where these melodies were born. It is an invitation to journey through the geography and soul of Ukraine through music.

The event will be hosted by the Ukrainian National Federal Credit Union (UNFCU) at their Alpharetta branch (Atlanta, GA). The UNFCU is a cornerstone of the diaspora, dedicated to ensuring that the Ukrainian community's resources are preserved and reinvested for the collective goodness and growth of the community. Members of UNFCU can experience this concert for free (ID and member's card should be displayed when guest is checked in) with a promo code "UNFCUFolk5pm".
