About The Event

A Bridge Between Eras: Ukrainian Folk Reimagined

Tar Sahno & Neoclassical Band Live at World Music Ensemble

Music is a vessel of collective memory, carrying the joy, resilience, and spirit of a people across generations. On October 10, 2026, composer Tar Sahno and his neoclassical ensemble take the stage at the World Music Ensemble (WME) festival for a performance that honors Ukrainian musical roots through a modern, cinematic lens.

About the Program

Recomposed by Tar Sahno, this program reimagines centuries-old Ukrainian traditional and folk compositions. By intertwining authentic modal motifs with rich cinematic textures and contemporary classical chamber arrangements, the ensemble creates an immersive space where history is not merely commemorated, but deeply felt anew. Beyond the music itself, each piece unfolds a story. Tar Sahno and the ensemble will introduce the historical origins, regional traditions, and unique narratives behind the melodies, inviting the audience on a cultural journey through the geography and soul of Ukraine.

About the Festival

The World Music Ensemble is a fully instrumental community celebration hosted by Arts on the Creek and powered by Fulton County Arts & Culture.
